Job Description

Our client, a trusted leader in logistics and distribution, is recruiting for various warehouse positions, including operational and managerial roles. In their fast-paced warehouses, you will help maintain high standards of efficiency, accuracy, and safety. From hands-on tasks such as packing and stock management to overseeing daily warehouse operations, this is a great role for motivated individuals who take pride in contributing to smooth and reliable logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Packing Operative

Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
Ensure secure and safe packaging for shipping.
Label parcels correctly and prepare them for dispatch.
Meet daily productivity and quality targets.

2. Goods In / Goods Out Operative

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
Load/unload delivery vehicles safely.
Organize goods in correct storage locations.
Report discrepancies or damaged goods.

3. Inventory / Stock Control Operative

Maintain accurate stock records in warehouse systems.
Conduct regular inventory checks and reconcile differences.
Support stock rotation and minimization of waste.
Generate reports for management as required.

4. Forklift / MHE Operator

Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely.
Move and stack goods efficiently in the warehouse.
Conduct daily equipment safety checks.
Assist warehouse staff as needed.

5. Warehouse Supervisor / Manager

Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations and staff.
Plan and manage workflow, shifts, and schedules.
Monitor KPIs, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Train, motivate, and support warehouse teams.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
Liaise with logistics, transport partners, and senior management.
Manage stock control, reporting, and warehouse documentation.

Skills & Experience Required

For Operative Roles:

Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred but not essential.
Physical fitness for lifting, standing, and walking.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic IT skills for warehouse systems.
Forklift licence for MHE roles.
Team player with reliability and punctuality.

For Warehouse Supervisor / Manager:

Proven experience managing warehouse operations.
Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
