Job Description
Our client, a leading airport services provider in London, is seeking dedicated and reliable Airport Cleaners to join their team. In this important role, you will help maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of public areas throughout the airport, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and pleasant environment for passengers, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is hardworking, proactive, and flexible, with a strong commitment to delivering consistently high standards of cleanliness and customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain various public areas including terminals, restrooms, gates, lounges, and corridors.
- Ensure that all areas are kept in a pristine condition and regularly disinfected, especially high-touch surfaces such as escalators, handrails, seating areas, and counters.
- Empty and clean trash bins, sort and dispose of waste in an environmentally responsible manner, ensuring that recyclable materials are properly separated.
- Carry out emergency cleaning tasks in busy areas or during disruptions, including cleaning up spills and accidents promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are stored securely and in line with safety standards.
- Report any damage, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to the supervisor for timely resolution.
- Work collaboratively with other cleaning team members to meet service standards.
- Adhere to all airport health and safety regulations and protocols.
- Provide support for the cleaning of staff areas and offices when required.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under minimal supervision.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and report issues efficiently.
- Flexibility to work across shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Physical stamina and ability to carry out tasks that involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
